I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. They were sitting in a pool of melted tobasco butter. The shrimp were perfect but the grits were not fully cooked. My husband has the bison burger which he said was really good. There were still Christmas decorations up and other than that a notable lack of decor. The service was good but many items on the menu were unavailable.
Had a spur-of-the-moment lunch here. I’ll be completely honest: we ate here because we couldn’t find another certain place where we had planned to eat. That said, with zero expectations, Cork & Keg was fantastic! Quick service, great ambience, and quaint food. Next time we come, it’ll be on purpose 😉
We had some drinks and food. Crab cakes we very fishy and extremely small for the price. Spinach artichoke dip was on point. Taps are not cold. Definitely not worth the money to expensive for their own good! Sent the meal back and we never send food back. Manager refused to come out and see us to see what was wrong.
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Our server was very nice and fast! The food portions were great. We had the meatloaf and salmon and finished off dinner with the best cheesecake!
The service was wonderful nice little spot very clean but this was absolutely the worst ribeye steak I have ever got it was so tough I could not hardly eat it the picture shows what I ate (carried back to hotel, ended up in garbage)I decided just to leave instead of sending it back for the price i paid almost $40 for a ribeye it was awful ,would not go back.Wife salmon was good but over salted and tortellini was cold .okay good side beer was cold. I am not normally long-winded on post but I was expecting a lot more out of this place. Lastly the Oysters Rockefeller was super delicious but only got four oysters for $16 very overpriced.
Great experience and a wonderful menu. Pork chop is out of this world. I'd put the red fish up against anywhere else. Only complaint is that the Old Fashioned I ordered used 'regular' bar ice and had a marichino cherry. Hopefully they can get some craft ice and proper cherries next time we visit.
We tried Cork & Keg today for the first time for Mother's Day brunch and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the cutest little boy who handed me a flower. Their brunch was delicious! I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy but my daughter's french toast was soooo good! Portions are BIG! I highly recommend trying them out.
Our first time was last night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were pleasantly surprised. The owner was very nice, the wait staff was attentive, the food was great. Overall a great experience, the menu has a good selection of appetizers and meals, great selection of wine and beers. Not overpriced, right on point for the quality of food. Waxahachie needed a restaurant like this.
